Day 11: Albufeira January 2019

Coffee and sunrise on the roof top terrace and then Umberto’s off to the gym and Liisa and I are off in to town, with a quick stop to cuddle some cats at Albufeira’s ‘cat colony’ and then on to a beach front bar, which brings us back to the beginning of this blog. An hour or so later I am still drinking the same Agua con Gaz… Liisa has met a friend called Christopher. He’s a young Brummie who has recently had his promising football career fucked up by a drunk driver knocking him down but feels that it has actually given him a whole new perspective on life and who he wants to be. He feels his ambitions have shifted to wanting to be a good and a kind person rather than following the route he was on towards arrogance, attention and materialism. He also does a wicked impression of a Peaky Blinder… 🙂

Liisa feels likes she could stay here in Albufeira but I feel I am ready to move on now…. I hope we will walk tomorrow. Umberto has told us he will take us to another magnificent clifftop spot he knows this evening to watch the sunset… 🙂

Later in the evening… Update… The evening was cloudy so we stayed put and enjoyed an evening on the balcony. Liisa has headed back in to town to meet her Brummie with a promise that she will return by midnight for a decent night’s kip ready to get back on the road tomorrow. We will see…. She looks a little in love, again…. 😉
